From Princeton’s admissions committee to our school hall
Crimson Education brought two speakers to Grades 11 and 12 from BGA and BIST: a former member of Princeton’s admissions committee and a speaker from one of Britain’s top universities.
On Friday 16 October, students of Grades 11 and 12 from BGA and the British International School of Tbilisi (BIST) gathered in the school hall for a talk by two speakers from Crimson Education.
One of them is a former member of the admissions committee at Princeton University. The other came from one of the leading universities in the United Kingdom.
For students who will apply this year or next, it was a chance to hear about applications from someone who has sat on the other side of the table.
Who Crimson are
Crimson Education helps students apply to universities in the United States and the United Kingdom, pairing them with mentors and tutors. It was founded in Auckland, New Zealand, in 2013 by Jamie Beaton, Fangzhou Jiang and Sharndre Kushor. Since 2019 it has also run Crimson Global Academy, an online high school.
A week of universities
The talk came three days after Tuesday’s university fair in the Sports Hall, where more than 40 universities from 17 countries and territories met students from BGA and four other Tbilisi schools.
