Real change, real voices: PILAR holds its first event

PILAR has held its first event at the Academy.

For its opening, PILAR invited three guests to the school, each from a different field, and sat them down on stage in front of the students. The line on the screen behind them set the tone for the whole event: “Real change, real voices.”

The guests talked about their work and what they have learned from it, the students on stage kept the conversation moving, and the hall got something a good deal more interesting than a lecture. At the end the guests were thanked on stage, to applause.

It was the first event PILAR has put on, and it will not be the last.

BGA News was in the hall, and there is more to come: our interview with one of the guests of the event will be out soon.
